19th of May, Pécel, first thunderstorm recordings of 2009!

At 7:45 I woke up for going to toilet. I saw the clouds out from the window and they were a bit strange. Their edges were hardly visible. I thought I could sleep a bit more. But once I almost fell asleep when I heard a big crash of thunder.I ran out from the bed, grab my MP3 player to record some sounds and managed to record the last one.http://www.freesound.org/samplesViewSingle.php?id=72895

There was a small rain shower as well.

But it went away quickly.

At 11am a line of cmulus clouds formed a squall line signing itself with some rolling thunder sounds.

Those clouds gone and no events after 11-12am but thunderstorms were developing continuously about 40-50 kms away.

At around 2pm new thunderheads appeared above the Great Plain and they were getting closer and closer.

At around 5:30 pm a new cell developed in 20 kms away in South-West direction from me. Rolling thunder sounds were heard for about 30 minutes, but the convergence line didn’t support the storm to get above me. Finally it got torn away.
